René-Sylvain has 25 years of experience in the IT consulting industry. He has created, evaluated, designed and delivered multimillion-dollar infrastructure projects for companies such as Bell Canada, Laurentian Bank, Air Transat, Croix Bleue, and Université de Montréal as well as government agencies at all levels from municipal to federal. He started his career coding web applications for the Montreal Canadiens, CBC Radio and the Montreal Opera. However, he quickly moved into consulting, learning the ins and outs while working for large firms like CGI. As a leader, René-Sylvain has learned the value of mentoring and empowering his staff and colleagues. He has managed teams of over 20 senior staff members.
René-Sylvain thrives in demanding situations that require great flexibility and where his drive for continuous self-improvement has led to great successes. For example, he was offered a sales executive position by Quest Software in 2017 and was rapidly promoted due to his ability to integrate his technical, business, and channel management skills. Within 15 months, he brought a cold market back to life, achieving 130% against his targets.
Having inherited the entrepreneurship gene from his mother, René-Sylvain has enjoyed cofounding several startups over the years. The lessons learned from those past efforts have culminated in Indominus, where he is disrupting the world of IT consulting and digital transformation.
